At Troy Veterinary Hospital, we get a ton of interesting questions from pet parents. Below are some common FAQs that might help answer any questions or concerns. Please feel free to call us at 518-279-4668 for any other concerns you might have about your pet.

What type of pets do you see?

At Troy Veterinary Hospital, we provide services to cats and dogs.

Can I schedule an appointment for just vaccines?
Yes, an appointment for just vaccines is available to patients that have an established veterinarian client-patient relationship with us as long as the patient has been seen within the last year. If a patient has not been established, an appointment with a doctor is required before vaccines can be administered.
Why do you have a late cancel / no show fee?
If a client no-shows, they are required to pre-pay for all future appointments. When clients do not show up for their appointment, it creates a gap in the schedule where we could have seen a sick patient in need.
Does your practice offer any specialists? IE: Ultrasound Specialist, Orthopedic Surgeries.
We do work with an ultrasound specialist and a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. An exam with one of our doctors is required prior to booking any specialist to ensure we are providing the correct service for your pet.
What are your payment options?
We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover), cash, and CareCredit. We accept all veterinary insurance, but we have a partnership with Trupanon insurance!

Do you accept emergencies or take walk-in appointments?

We are by appointment only. True emergencies should go to the nearest 24-hour ER hospital. We do our best to accommodate urgent visits. Please call the hospital prior to coming in.
